Chapter 21: I want to be his dad

After bringing the cat home, Mu Zhengqing and Lu Yiwei researched and asked the program team to buy a bunch of things.

While waiting for the items, Mu Zhengqing couldn't help but smile as he looked at the cat. However, after a while, he suddenly remembered something.

"Are you allergic to cat hair?" Mu Zhengqing asked Lu Yiwei nervously.

If Lu Yiwei was allergic to cat hair, he would temporarily give the cat to Gu Da and pick it up after the variety show was finished.

Although he really liked the cat, it was on the condition that he and Lu Yiwei could get along. Living with someone else, he still needed to be self-aware.

"No, if I were allergic to cat hair, I wouldn't have let you bring him back," Lu Yiwei didn't know why Mu Zhengqing would suspect him of being allergic to cat hair, but he still explained seriously.

"That's good. Seeing how you just watched me pet the cat last time without trying it yourself, I thought you were allergic to cat hair." Mu Zhengqing breathed a sigh of relief.

Lu Yiwei hadn't expected Mu Zhengqing to remember this, and his heart was filled with joy.

"Shall we give it a name?" Lu Yiwei asked.

"Sure, you can name it," Mu Zhengqing said, holding the cat.

If Lu Yiwei hadn't mentioned it, he hadn't planned to adopt the cat right away, worried that he wouldn't have enough time to spend with it.

But the moment he held it, he had no intention of sending it back. He would try to make time for it in the future. He had already experienced the joy of petting a cat, and as a thank you to Lu Yiwei, he decided to let Lu Yiwei name it.

Lu Yiwei didn't refuse and said the name he had already thought of: "How about the name Mulu?" [目錄 (mù lù): directory, catalog]

"Why that name?" Mu Zhengqing asked, puzzled. It wasn't that he was dissatisfied with the name, he was just curious.

"Mulu is a combination of our surnames," Lu Yiwei explained.

Although he showed no signs of nervousness on the surface, he was actually incredibly anxious. He didn't know if Mu Zhengqing would be willing to combine their surnames for the cat's name.

"Okay, from now on, you'll be called Mulu." Mu Zhengqing happily said, holding the newly named cat.

The viewers in the live stream: "Did we guess wrong? They don't look like they just had a fight last night. But if they didn't fight, what were they doing in the bedroom last night?"

"Forget it, why think so much? Let's welcome our little Mulu."

Just when there was a slight hint of shipping them, the viewers were immediately drawn to little Mulu.

Although Mu Zhengqing and Lu Yiwei's fans didn't like each other, they reached a consensus on Mulu. Mulu would be their little treasure from now on.

Cloud cat-raising begins.

Seeing Mu Zhengqing so happy, Lu Yiwei was also happy, but soon he wasn't. For a whole hour, Mu Zhengqing didn't look at him once, and kept his attention on Mulu. Although it was a bit embarrassing to be jealous of a cat, he really wished he was a cat. He wanted to cuddle with Mu Zhengqing too.

"Let it get used to the new environment," Lu Yiwei couldn't help but say.

Hearing this, Mu Zhengqing thought it made sense and started introducing the layout of the house to Mulu.

Not getting what he wanted, Lu Yiwei continued, "Aren't you tired of holding it? Let me hold it for a while."

"No, I'm not tired," Mu Zhengqing said, hugging Mulu closer. He understood what it meant to cherish something so much.

One minute later

Lu Yiwei: "Aren't you tired of holding it? Let me hold it for a while."

Mu Zhengqing: "No, I'm not tired."

Two minutes later

Lu Yiwei: "Aren't you tired of holding him? Let me hold him for a while."

Mu Zhengqing: "No, I'm not tired."

Three minutes later

Lu Yiwei: "Aren't you tired of..."

"Do you want to hold Mulu?" Finally realizing, Mu Zhengqing interrupted Lu Yiwei.

Seeing Lu Yiwei nod, Mu Zhengqing placed Mulu in Lu Yiwei's arms. He had been negligent. He had only been thinking about his own comfort and had forgotten about Lu Yiwei.

That's right, if Lu Yiwei didn't like Mulu, why would he let Mu Zhengqing bring Mulu home? Why would he let Mulu's name include his surname? Why would he keep looking at Mulu in Mu Zhengqing's arms?

Mulu: He doesn't like me, he's just jealous of me.

After Mulu was in Lu Yiwei's arms, it struggled a bit at first, but soon succumbed to Lu Yiwei's massage.

Seeing Lu Yiwei petting a cat for the first time, Mu Zhengqing felt a little itchy. He wasn't itchy because he wanted to pet the cat, but because he remembered Lu Yiwei's massage. Although it was only once, it was unforgettable. I wonder if I can trade Mulu for a massage.

Soon, the program team delivered the items. Mu Zhengqing was about to transfer the money to the program team, but unexpectedly, Lu Yiwei transferred the money first.

"I'll transfer the money to you," Mu Zhengqing said, opening Lu Yiwei's WeChat.

"No need to transfer the money to me. Actually, I want to discuss something with you," Lu Yiwei said.

"What's up?" Mu Zhengqing asked.

"Can I be Mulu's dad?" Lu Yiwei asked Mu Zhengqing with a serious expression.

"If you're its dad, then what am I?" Mu Zhengqing didn't expect Lu Yiwei to say that, and asked foolishly.

"You're Mulu's father," Lu Yiwei replied.
[爸爸 (bàba): dad, informal term for father; 父親 (fùqīn): father; a formal term]

"If you don't like the title 'father', we can switch. I'll be Mulu's father and you can be its dad," seeing that Mu Zhengqing was about to refuse, Lu Yiwei quickly continued.

"No, I prefer being its father." Mu Zhengqing immediately refused. "Father" sounds more formal.

"Okay, that's settled. You're Mulu's father, and I'm Mulu's dad." Lu Yiwei said hurriedly.

A moment later, Mu Zhengqing realised that he seemed to have been tricked by Lu Yiwei. What he was about to say was that he could be Mulu's uncle, but not its father. But it was too late, Lu Yiwei had already been calling himself 'dad' to the Mulu for half a day.

The rest of the time, the two of them were either helping the Mulu settle in or helping it get familiar with its toys.

Until ten o'clock at night, the production team informed them that they had won first place today.

Hearing that they had won first place, Mu Zhengqing expectantly asked the production team what the reward was this time.

He originally thought that the reward the production team mentioned would be the same, but he found out last night that the reward the production team mentioned was actually different.

The first day's reward was to turn off the live stream for two hours, while yesterday's first-place prize was changed to providing a sumptuous breakfast today.

The difference in these rewards was significant.

Who would have thought that the production team would tell them that all four teams were first place today, so after discussion, the production team decided neither to reward nor to punish them.

Well, it seems that getting up early is something that no one wants to try.

Although he didn't get a reward, Mu Zhengqing was still very happy. After all, the Mulu was the best reward he could ask for today.

Chapter 20: Two men and a cat

“Do you have something to tell me?” Mu Zhengqing asked Lu Yiwei after dinner

Being idle has its downside; curiosity becomes very strong.

“No.” Lu Yiwei shook his head.

Although… he really wanted to say that he didn’t like Liang Qi, not even a bit, and that he could never like him in this lifetime. Even though he had already denied it last night, he still felt it wasn’t enough.

But he couldn’t say it. If he did, Mu Zhengqing would know that his sleepwalking last night was faked.

This was also the reason for his hesitation earlier; he was looking for the right opportunity.

Seeing that Lu Yiwei didn’t want to talk, Mu Zhengqing, although very eager to press him, had no choice but to let it go.

“Did you sleep well last night?” Mu Zhengqing started to make small talk.

Although the dark circles under Lu Yiwei’s eyes told him that he probably didn’t sleep well last night. If it weren’t for Lu Yiwei’s sleepwalking last night, he would have suspected that Lu Yiwei hadn’t slept at all.

“It was okay,” said Lu Yiwei, who hadn’t slept all night.

“Do you remember what happened last night?” Mu Zhengqing asked quietly, leaning closer to Lu Yiwei.

He wanted to know if Lu Yiwei remembered the sleepwalking incident from last night. But, more importantly, he wanted to know if the person Lu Yiwei liked was Liang Qi .

Just as Lu Yiwei thought, although he said last night that he didn’t like Liang Qi, did he need to emphasize it three times? Emphasizing it three times really makes people think a lot.

“I don’t remember.”

Hearing Mu Zhengqing ask this, Lu Yiwei knew he was probing to see if he remembered the sleepwalking incident from last night, or if he remembered the questions he asked him last night.

If he could, he wouldn’t want to remember at all.

But the fright from last night was still fresh in his memory. After all, it was too terrifying.

Mu Zhengqing continued to ask Lu Yiwei a few more questions, and Lu Yiwei answered them flawlessly.

Although Mu Zhengqing didn’t get any useful information, Lu Yiwei came to a frightening conclusion. Mu Zhengqing indeed thought he liked Liang Qi .

Just as he was about to explain, the program crew arrived.

When Mu Zhengqing opened the door and saw Liang Qi at the entrance, he immediately had a look of understanding on his face.

This was because he was stimulated by Mu Zhengqing spending the night with Lu Yiwei last night, so he took the initiative to come today.

Mu Zhengqing warmly invited Liang Qi in.

Mu Zhengqing’s enthusiasm made Liang Qi suspicious if there was some kind of trap inside. But he quickly realised he was overthinking it. He wasn’t that welcome.

“Why are you here?” Lu Yiwei frowned so much upon seeing Liang Qi that he could almost kill a fly with his brows.

“I’m here to announce today’s task to you two,” Liang Qi said cheerfully.

He had upset the sponsor yesterday, so he hurried to appease him today, fearing someone might withdraw their investment.

Although their program’s sponsorship calls were flooding in, he knew who they were really after. To keep the show popular, Mu Zhengqing and Lu Yiwei had to stay.

Since Liang Qi was already there, Lu Yiwei couldn’t just drive him away, so he found a place to sit as far away from Liang Qi as possible. Then he saw the look in Mu Zhengqing’s eyes from last night again. He frowned and sat a bit closer to Liang Qi.

Who knew Mu Zhengqing’s smile would become even more peculiar. Expressionless, he returned to his original seat.

The viewers in the live stream saw Lu Yiwei acting so unusually and speculated whether something happened between him and Mu Zhengqing last night when they were alone together.

Soon, they concluded that the two had a fight in the room last night. Not only did they figure out that they fought, but they also saw that Mu Zhengqing won.

Lu Yiwei’s fans: “Lu Zong, we know you’re in pain, but can you be a bit stronger? It’s very easy for others to see that you were beaten badly by Mu Zhengqing last night.”

Mu Zhengqing’s fans: “Mu Shen is mighty, but can you tone it down a bit? Your half-smiling expression really makes you look like you deserve a beating.”

Under Lu Yiwei’s urging gaze, Liang Qi announced today’s task. “Put down your phones, turn off the TV, and log out of your computers for a day. The longer you last, the higher your score.”

As before, the first place gets a reward, and the last place gets a punishment they definitely don’t want to try.

“What’s the punishment?” Mu Zhengqing asked.

If the punishment was acceptable, he wanted to persuade Lu Yiwei to give up right away. He really couldn’t go a day without his phone.

“Starting tomorrow, wake up at 5 AM every day,” Liang Qi said with a grin.

He didn’t know if this punishment was difficult for others, but he knew that for Mu Zhengqing it was definitely something he didn’t want to try.

As Liang Qi expected, after hearing the punishment, Mu Zhengqing had no intention of giving up. Waking up at 5 AM every day was harder than anything for him.

After announcing the task, Liang Qi got up to leave.

Sigh, he saw the disdain in the sponsor’s eyes. It turned out that when he said to stay away from him in the future, he meant it literally, making him think about it all night.

Seeing Liang Qi about to leave, Mu Zhengqing quickly said, “Leaving already? Stay a bit longer.”

Why was he in such a hurry to leave? He just saw the sparks flying between the two of them. And is there anything better to pass the time than watching gossip?

Seeing Mu Zhengqing being so enthusiastic, Liang Qi hesitated a bit, but after seeing Lu Yiwei he left without looking back.

He couldn’t afford to upset the sponsor. After the program crew left, Mu Zhengqing sat on the sofa with vacant eyes. How was he going to get through this day?

“Do you want to play chess?” Lu Yiwei asked. He knew that Mu Zhengqing could play chess and was quite good at it.

“No.” Mu Zhengqing shook his head. Although he was bored, he didn’t want to use his brain.

“Do you want to play badminton?” The wealthy and capricious Lu Yiwei continued to ask.

“No.” Mu Zhengqing refused again. Although he was bored, he didn’t want to exercise even more.

Afterwards, Lu Yiwei suggested a few more entertainment activities, but Mu Zhengqing wasn’t interested in any of them. Without his phone, he felt like he had lost his soul.

However, all the activities Lu Yiwei mentioned were things he had played before. He didn’t expect their interests to overlap so much.

“How about we sleep?” Mu Zhengqing suddenly suggested, noticing the dark circles under Lu Yiwei’s eyes.

So, the two of them each took a sofa and fell asleep.

Although the living room sofa couldn’t compare to a bed, it was much better than the bedroom sofa and was quite comfortable to sleep on.

The viewers in the live stream understood Mu Zhengqing and Lu Yiwei’s decision to broadcast themselves sleeping.

After all, they fought all night last night, so it’s normal to be tired. They are just that considerate.

But their consideration only lasted for a few seconds. Sleeping is fine, but at least show your faces. What’s the point of showing us the back of your heads?

Mu Zhengqing and Lu Yiwei were unaware of the dissatisfaction from the live stream viewers and continued to sleep soundly.

This time, Mu Zhengqing woke up first. He looked at the still-sleeping Lu Yiwei, got up, and walked towards the kitchen.

Since he had nothing else to do, he decided to cook to pass the time.

Although he closed the kitchen door, he was still worried about making noise and waking Lu Yiwei, so he moved very carefully. Anyone who didn’t know might think he was acting in a silent film.

It took him more than half an hour to prepare the ingredients. The only thing left was to start cooking.

Just as he turned on the stove, Lu Yiwei, who had woken up at some point, pulled him behind himself.

“You’re awake?” Mu Zhengqing said, hiding behind Lu Yiwei.

“Mm, why didn’t you wake me up?” Lu Yiwei asked.

“Usually, you cook. Today, I wanted to give it a try,” Mu Zhengqing said.

“Okay,” Lu Yiwei said with a smile.

He didn’t know if it was his imagination, but he felt that when Lu Yiwei said “okay,” there was a hint of indulgence in his tone.

Hmm, he had always heard people say that a freshly woken voice is particularly sexy, and today he experienced it firsthand. A deep voice, it seems he has one too.

Following the principle that both of them should participate, this meal was prepared together by Mu Zhengqing and Lu Yiwei.

As before, Mu Zhengqing gave instructions, and Lu Yiwei did the cooking.

Although Mu Zhengqing felt he was just taking up space in the kitchen, Lu Yiwei insisted on not letting him leave. To keep him there, Lu Yiwei even said that the meal wouldn’t be possible without him.

While eating, Mu Zhengqing kept thinking that although Lu Yiwei followed his steps for cooking, the taste was still very different. He suspected that Lu Yiwei secretly added other ingredients when he wasn’t looking.

Distracted, Mu Zhengqing didn’t notice that all the fish he ate was deliberately placed by Lu Yiwei in a way that made it easy for him to pick up. He thought today’s fish had no bones.

After the meal, Lu Yiwei asked, “Do you want to go for a walk and see the cats?”

“We can go out?” Mu Zhengqing asked in shock.

He always thought they couldn’t leave the house. It looks like he needs to carefully review the contract they signed with the show.

“Of course we can, but we have to live stream the whole time, so we can’t go to crowded places to avoid being surrounded by people,” Lu Yiwei explained.

As soon as he heard they could go out, Mu Zhengqing changed his clothes and pulled Lu Yiwei out the door.

Just as Lu Yiwei said, there were people from the show crew waiting for them at the door.

The two of them strolled to the cats’ and dogs’ den. Seeing Mu Zhengqing and Lu Yiwei, the cats and dogs immediately ran towards them.

Mu Zhengqing instinctively shielded Lu Yiwei behind him and then started petting the cats and dogs.

Lu Yiwei thought that if Mu Zhengqing had a tail, it would definitely be wagging like the cats he was petting now.

However, Mu Zhengqing hadn’t been petting for long before the show crew urged them to go back quickly.

Some netizens had discovered their neighbourhood. Although the security guards stopped people from entering, they couldn’t stop drones and telescopes.

“Let’s take one back to raise,” seeing Mu Zhengqing looking back every few steps, Lu Yiwei said.

In the end, Mu Zhengqing chose the cat that he found most comfortable to pet and held it in his arms.

So, when they went out, it was still two people, but when they came back, it became two people and a cat.

Chapter 19: Do you like Liang Qi?

Lu Yiwei noticed that Mu Zhengqing was acting a bit strange, always secretly watching him. When he looked back, Mu Zhengqing would show a strange expression.

When Lu Yiwei couldn’t help but ask him, he got a mysterious reply, “Don’t worry, I’ll cooperate with you.” [T/N: we stan a good wingman, lmao]

Cooperate…? Cooperate with what? Is it to cooperate with showing affection, or to cooperate with pursuing him?

With this doubt, he accompanied Mu Zhengqing to complete today’s exercise.

Today, he paid close attention to Mu Zhengqing’s physical condition, and stopped in time when he confirmed that he had reached his limit.

After the two finished exercising, it was already past ten o’clock.

According to the schedule given by the program team, they could now go back to their bedroom to shower and sleep.

But today, sleeping was a bit tricky. Whose room to sleep in?

Mu Zhengqing naturally wanted Lu Yiwei to sleep in his room. After all, he sleeps more comfortably in his own territory.

But thinking about Lu Yiwei’s strange habit of recognizing beds... Forget it, he decided to wrong himself a bit.

“Let’s sleep in your room.”
“Let’s sleep in your room,” Mu Zhengqing and Lu Yiwei spoke at the same time.

“Can you sleep in my room?” Mu Zhengqing asked.

He was worried about Lu Yiwei on one hand, and on the other hand, he was afraid that Lu Yiwei might scare him if he sleepwalks.

Although he was brave, when someone suddenly appeared beside his bed in the dead of night, even he, as brave as he was, would get goosebumps.

“Yes.” Lu Yiwei said confidently.

“Aren’t you particular about beds?” Mu Zhengqing whispered, leaning closer to Lu Yiwei.

“Aren’t you?” Lu Yiwei whispered back.

“I am a bit particular about beds, but I don’t have the habit of sleepwalking.” Mu Zhengqing said, glancing at Lu Yiwei.

How did Lu Yiwei know he was particular about beds? He didn’t remember telling him that.

“No matter whose room it is, I can’t sleep at night, so it doesn’t matter where I am.” Lu Yiwei explained.

What he didn’t say was that the reason he couldn’t sleep was because of excitement and anticipation. Sharing a room with someone he liked, even though he knew nothing would happen, was enough to make him too excited to sleep.

Since Lu Yiwei said so, Mu Zhengqing had nothing more to say.

Actually, if he went to Lu Yiwei’s place, he was prepared to stay up all night.

After Lu Yiwei went back and took a shower, he knocked on Mu Zhengqing’s bedroom door.

After entering the room, he consciously placed the pillow and blanket he brought on the sofa, clearly planning to make do on the sofa for the night.

“Are you planning to sleep on the sofa?” Mu Zhengqing asked.

“Yes,” Lu Yiwei replied.

Although he had many thoughts in his mind, knowing that the two of them needed to share a room tonight, he decided to make do on the sofa for the night.

He was both captivated by Mu Zhengqing’s closeness and clearly aware of Mu Zhengqing’s attitude towards him.

The only thing he didn’t understand was the look in Mu Zhengqing’s eyes tonight.

Mu Zhengqing looked at the sofa, then at Lu Yiwei , and finally said, “You sleep on the bed, I’ll sleep on the sofa.”

The sofa in the bedroom wasn’t big to begin with. If Lu Yiwei slept on it for a night, he would definitely feel uncomfortable the next day.

Of course, he was only a little shorter than Lu Yiwei, so he would also feel uncomfortable after a night.

But after all, this was Lu Yiwei’s house. As an outsider, how could he take all the benefits?

“No need, I have something to do tonight. You go to sleep,” Lu Yiwei said, taking the computer from the side.

Only then did Mu Zhengqing notice that besides the pillow and blanket, Lu Yiwei had also brought a computer. He was well-prepared.

Since that was the case, he wouldn’t hold back.

Mu Zhengqing originally thought he would have trouble sleeping tonight, but who knew he would fall asleep in no time.

Sitting on the sofa, Lu Yiwei gently put his computer aside after hearing Mu Zhengqing’s steady breathing.

Actually, he had nothing to do tonight; he brought the computer just to make Mu Zhengqing feel at ease sleeping on the bed.

How nice, although Mu Zhengqing hadn’t fallen for him yet, the distance between them was getting closer.

Just as Lu Yiwei was immersed in the thought of their growing closeness, there was a sudden noise from Mu Zhengqing’s side.

He looked over at Mu Zhengqing and saw, in the faint moonlight, that one of Mu Zhengqing’s legs was sticking out.

The noise just now was probably caused by Mu Zhengqing kicking the blanket.

He hesitated for a moment, then got up and slowly walked towards Mu Zhengqing.

After finally reaching Mu Zhengqing’s bedside, he carefully covered him with the blanket.

He didn’t dare to look at Mu Zhengqing closely because he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to leave.

Just as he was about to turn and leave, he saw Mu Zhengqing suddenly open his eyes.

He didn’t know if he had scared Mu Zhengqing, but he was certainly startled.

He was about to explain when he saw Mu Zhengqing slowly sit up and wave his hand in front of his eyes.

Was he suspecting that he was sleepwalking?

Since that was the case, he might as well go along with it, saving himself the trouble of explaining why he was standing by his bed.

Lu Yiwei stood there for a while, feeling that enough time had passed, and just as he was about to leave, he heard Mu Zhengqing say, “Lu Yiwei.”

Lu Yiwei cooperatively responded with a “hmm.”

He had only heard that people who talk in their sleep would respond to others, but he didn’t know if sleepwalkers did the same. However, when Mu Zhengqing called his name, his mouth responded before his brain could.

Apparently, he wasn’t the only one confusing sleepwalking with sleep talking. Mu Zhengqing did too.

“Lu Yiwei, do you have someone you like?” Mu Zhengqing asked, his eyes shining.

Actually, Mu Zhengqing was also startled when he saw someone standing by his bed, but he quickly calmed down, perhaps because he had anticipated this outcome.

It’s not surprising that he was so curious. It would be a shame not to seize such a rare opportunity.

After all, no matter what he asked, Lu Yiwei wouldn’t remember it the next day.

Hearing Mu Zhengqing’s question, Lu Yiwei hesitated for a second, then nodded.

He had never thought of hiding the fact that he liked Mu Zhengqing.

On the contrary, he wished he could tell everyone that he, Lu Yiwei, liked Mu Zhengqing.

The reason he hadn’t confessed immediately was because he was afraid of scaring Mu Zhengqing.

However, if Mu Zhengqing figured it out himself, he didn’t plan to hide it.

But every time he was about to blurt it out, Mu Zhengqing would change the subject.

He hoped this time would go smoothly, even though Mu Zhengqing thought he was sleepwalking.

“Have I met the person you like?” Mu Zhengqing continued to ask.

“Yes,” Lu Yiwei replied.

When looking in the mirror, Lu Yiwei added in his heart.

“Is that person Liang Qi?” Mu Zhengqing asked excitedly.

His guess was about to be confirmed, and he was a bit excited.

Hearing the name Mu Zhengqing mentioned, Lu Yiwei almost couldn’t control his expression and asked uncertainly, “Who do you say I like?”

“Liang Qi, the director of the variety show we’re participating in now,” thinking Lu Yiwei hadn’t heard clearly, Mu Zhengqing quickly explained.

“No, I don’t like him, not at all.” After saying this, Lu Yiwei turned and went back to the sofa.

He was afraid that if he didn’t leave now, he would give himself away.

He liked Liang Qi, what had he done to give Mu Zhengqing this impression? He finally understood the look in Mu Zhengqing’s eyes tonight. So he thought he liked Liang Qi.

What could be more heartbreaking than the person you like thinking you like someone else?

If there was anything worse, it was that he seemed a bit excited about it.

After Mu Zhengqing fell asleep again, Lu Yiwei picked up his phone and sent a message to Liang Qi. “Stay away from me.”

Liang Qi, who had set a special alert for his sponsor, was once again bewildered when he saw the message. What had he done to offend his sponsor?

Could it be because he made them come in last place, or because he arranged for him and Mu Zhengqing to share a room?

This wouldn’t do. He immediately replied to Lu Yiwei, “Emperor Lu, saying ‘stay away from me’ hurts our relationship a lot. Don’t say that in the future.”

Before sending it, Liang Qi read the message again.

“Well, it’s a bit greasy, but greasy is good. If it can make the sponsor daddy forget the unhappy things, he can be even greasier.” [T/N: yass queen, get yo man lmfao!]

Seeing the message from Liang Qi, Lu Yiwei directly put him on the blacklist.

If it weren’t for the fear of needing him in the future, he would have deleted him.

Early the next morning, Mu Zhengqing woke up to find that Lu Yiwei on the sofa was gone.

Regarding this result, Mu Zhengqing found it very normal.

If Lu Yiwei ever woke up later than him, that would be a problem.

Breakfast was still sumptuous, and Mu Zhengqing was very satisfied.

It seemed like Lu Yiwei had something to say.

But now they had the most time, so Mu Zhengqing wasn’t in a hurry to ask. The world is vast, but eating is the most important thing.

Notes:

Honest thought, ML kinda pisses me off. He is in love with MC, but he is going about it in such a creepy, manipulative under-handed way that it’s honestly a big turn-off. The only reason I haven’t dropped it is because he is still more or less a yellow flag, so far. And the MC doesn’t mind or care too deeply about it. His obliviousness saves the story.
