Chapter 14: It's been a long time coming

Because they failed to fight twice, Mu Zhengqing decided to defeat Lu Yiwei in terms of stamina.

At first, he was quite confident, after all, exercise was a routine for him.

Although Lu Yiwei looked fit, he had never heard of him working out.

After half an hour, Mu Zhengqing looked at Lu Yiwei, who was still not red-faced or out of breath, and felt confident.

This only showed that Lu Yiwei was not just a pretty face.

Indeed, winning against him would also feel rewarding.

After an hour, Mu Zhengqing looked at Lu Yiwei, who was still not red-faced or out of breath, and still felt confident.

He didn’t expect Lu Yiwei to have such stamina. It seemed he also exercised regularly, and Mu Zhengqing had underestimated him.

But it didn’t matter, he was still confident he could win.

After an hour and a half, Mu Zhengqing looked at Lu Yiwei, who was only breathing a bit heavily, and was not so sure anymore.

If he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes, he would have suspected that Lu Yiwei was slacking off.

He was already starting to pant heavily, but Lu Yiwei still looked as if nothing had happened.

After two hours, Mu Zhengqing looked at Lu Yiwei, who was only slightly sweating, and admitted defeat.

He had previously boasted about fighting Lu Yiwei, but if they really fought, he would definitely lose.

Two hours was his usual exercise duration and also his limit.

However, he didn’t stop. Today he wanted to see how long Lu Yiwei could last.

Today, he was determined to go all out against Lu Yiwei.

After another ten minutes, Mu Zhengqing’s hands and legs started to disobey him.

But even so, he didn’t give up.

Just as Mu Zhengqing was ready to collapse in the gym, Lu Yiwei stopped.

Seeing Lu Yiwei stop, Mu Zhengqing exhausted his last bit of strength.

He now looked like he had just been fished out of the water.

“Have some water.” Lu Yiwei went out, poured a glass of water, and handed it to him.

Faced with this life-saving water, Mu Zhengqing didn’t stand on ceremony, and raised his limp arm to take it. Water, the source of life.

Seeing Mu Zhengqing so exhausted, Lu Yiwei’s eyes couldn’t hide his heartache.

It was his fault. He shouldn’t have tried to show off in front of him without paying attention to his physical condition.

No one noticed Lu Yiwei’s unusual behaviour, because the fans were all cheering, and Mu Zhengqing’s mind was focused on drinking water.

After drinking a glass of water, Mu Zhengqing felt like he came back to life.

Then he started to regret, thinking, really, what was the point of showing off.

Admitting that others are stronger than oneself is not shameful, but being stubborn and suffering for it is.

However, he must remember this in the future, and never say such things about fighting him again.

If they really fought, he would definitely be the one knocked out.

After all, in the face of absolute strength, all techniques are just tricks.

“You go take a shower first,” Lu Yiwei said after taking the cup from Mu Zhengqing’s hand.

Originally, they could each go back to their own rooms to shower, but since it was not yet ten o’clock, they couldn’t stay in their rooms for more than ten minutes.

Usually, ten minutes was enough for Mu Zhengqing to take two showers, but he was too tired now, and he didn’t dare take the risk.

As soon as Mu Zhengqing stood up, his legs were so weak that he almost fell, but fortunately, Lu Yiwei was there to support him in time.

After standing still, Mu Zhengqing wanted Lu Yiwei to let go, but Lu Yiwei refused to let go and supported him all the way to the washroom.

If it weren’t so inconvenient, Mu Zhengqing would have suspected that Lu Yiwei wanted to help him shower directly.

After closing the bathroom door, Mu Zhengqing looked at himself in the mirror and patted his face.

It must be because he was tired that his face was red, it couldn’t possibly be because he was embarrassed.

If he had known it would be this embarrassing, he wouldn’t have stubbornly held on earlier. Nothing could be more embarrassing than this.

But soon he realised there was something even more embarrassing waiting for him.

He hadn’t brought a change of clothes into the bathroom.

Gritting his teeth, Mu Zhengqing decided to go out wearing his previous clothes. At worst, he would just take another shower.

He absolutely wouldn’t let Lu Yiwei bring him clothes in front of the live stream audience.

Just as he picked up the clothes he had thrown into the dirty laundry basket, he heard a knock on the door.

“I’ve left your clothes at the door. Take them after you finish showering. I’ve already blocked the camera outside, so don’t worry,” Lu Yiwei’s voice came from outside the door.

Lu Yiwei’s voice was very soft, so apart from Mu Zhengqing in the bathroom, the live stream audience couldn’t hear what he said.

The reason Mu Zhengqing didn’t call for Lu Yiwei’s help earlier, was because he was mindful of the live stream.

Now, hearing that the camera was blocked, he immediately reached out confidently to grab the clothes at the door.

With clean clothes available, who would wear clothes soaked in sweat?

Lu Yiwei, who hadn’t left yet, watched as Mu Zhengqing’s wet arm reached out to take the clothes.

Lu Yiwei immediately turned and left.

After getting the clothes, Mu Zhengqing found a small note inside.

The note said, “New, never worn”.

Mu Zhengqing thought for a moment, and realised that every time Lu Yiwei gave him clothes, he would emphasise that the clothes were new and never worn.

However, this time he indeed needed to emphasise it, as there were intimate clothes involved.

“I’ve finished showering, you can go now,” Mu Zhengqing said to Lu Yiwei after coming out.

Lu Yiwei glanced at the washroom, his eyes darkening slightly.

He hesitated for a moment, then took his change of clothes and went in.

Mu Zhengqing was too tired today, he couldn’t let him help with the clothes and trouble him further.

However, there would be plenty of opportunities in the future, there would be more chances later.

Before going in, he said to Mu Zhengqing, “Sit on the sofa and don’t move, wait for me for five minutes.”

Mu Zhengqing didn’t know why Lu Yiwei wanted him to wait.

He glanced at the time, it was exactly ten o’clock at night, and he could go back to his room to sleep.

Oh well, considering how much he helped him today, he would wait for him for a while.

Mu Zhengqing had not waited for five minutes before Lu Yiwei came out.

Looking at Lu Yiwei walking towards him, Mu Zhengqing had only one thought in his mind.

No wonder fans call him “President Lu”, he’s so extravagant, buying two sets of the same clothes, one to wear and one to keep.

Sure enough, the loungewear Lu Yiwei was wearing was the same as his.

Soon, Mu Zhengqing understood why Lu Yiwei wanted him to wait.

Lu Yiwei actually wanted to massage his legs.

“No need, I’m fine now,” Mu Zhengqing quickly refused.

How could he dare let Lu Yiwei massage his legs?

That’s right, whether he felt embarrassed or not, his first reaction was that he didn’t dare.

If his fans saw Lu Yiwei massaging his legs, they would definitely say that Lu Yiwei was madly in love with him.

If Lu Yiwei’s fans saw him massaging his legs, they would definitely curse him to death.

So, no matter what Lu Yiwei said, he would not comply.

“If you don’t get a massage, your legs will hurt tomorrow,” Lu Yiwei insisted.

“Leg pain is no big deal, I’m not going out anyway,” Mu Zhengqing said firmly.

Of course, he knew that if he didn’t get a massage, his legs would hurt tomorrow.

But compared to the pain, he didn’t want to end up trending with Lu Yiwei because of this.

People who didn’t know might think he was delicate and weak.

He was a man who could knock down a 200-pound thug with one punch.

Chapter 13: Flowing Sweat

After the ending theme song finished playing, the 2 hour break came to an end. It was time to start the live-broadcast again.**

When the live broadcast started, the viewers who had been listening to ghost movie sound effects for two hours were looking forward to seeing something different.

Kissing, hugging, lifting up - any of these would do.

But no, this was a divorce variety show, so a black face, quarrelling, or even a fight - any of these would be entertaining to them.

However, to their disappointment, there was nothing. Mu Zhengqing and Lu Yiwei were just sitting on separate sofas, backs straight, looking at their phones.

Of course, Mu Zhengqing and Lu Yiwei’s fans only appeared to be disappointed on the surface.

In reality…

Mu Zhengqing’s fans’ inner thoughts: “Why does Lu Yiwei look so satisfied, like a cat that just stole a fish?”

Lu Yiwei’s fans’ inner thoughts: “Why are Mu Zhengqing’s pants so wrinkled, as if someone had ruthlessly ravaged them?”

Although the fans of both sides were dying of curiosity, they didn’t say anything on the surface.

They silently chanted in their hearts, “This is a divorce variety show, not a love variety show. We are here to see our idols shine alone, not to see a loving family.”

What the fans didn’t know was that the main stars of both sides were using small accounts to blend into the live broadcast room right under their noses.

Mu Zhengqing was very satisfied to see the peaceful scene in the live broadcast room.

He didn’t expect the fans of both sides to get along so well now, which was completely beyond his expectations.

Lu Yiwei, on the other hand, was very dissatisfied to see that no one was shipping him and Mu Zhengqing as a couple (CP).

“Of all people to imitate, they had to imitate those paparazzi with vision problems.”

“If I had known earlier, when Mu Zhengqing asked me to move, I would have pretended to be more scared.”

“There is still a long way to go. Even if I have to feed you some sugar, I will make sure it gets into your mouths.”

Mu Zhengqing looked at his phone for a while, then got up and went to the gym.

As an idol, he often needs to perform on stage for long periods.

To present his best state to the audience, he has never slacked off in his workouts.

Even during his vacations, he would take out two hours a day to exercise.

The gym was also equipped with cameras by the production team.

Mu Zhengqing’s fans were thrilled to see their idol about to exercise, cheering loudly.

Previously, Mu Zhengqing had posted photos of his workouts on Weibo.

Although they are not girlfriend fans, the thought of seeing Mu Zhengqing’s eight-pack abs made them willing to switch roles.

Mu Zhengqing approached the pull-up bar, planning to start with a few pull-ups to warm up.

However, he had just done a few pull-ups when Lu Yiwei suddenly wrapped a towel around his waist.

“What are you doing?”

Mu Zhengqing, still hanging in mid-air, asked Lu Yiwei, who was holding him through the towel, in confusion.

“Go change your clothes before you exercise,” Lu Yiwei said in a somewhat hoarse voice.

“Oh.” Mu Zhengqing replied awkwardly.

The current position with Lu Yiwei reminded him of three words - lifting up.

The key point was that he was the one being lifted.

Mu Zhengqing’s fans: “Just showing a little bit of waist and he’s already this jealous. And they say the one who can’t forget isn’t Lu Yiwei.”

Lu Yiwei’s fans: “Mu Zhengqing… well, our Lu always respects the elderly and loves the young, afraid his senior might catch a cold. This fine tradition being carried forward like this, who wouldn’t say he’s a good guy?”

“Let me down first,” Mu Zhengqing reminded after waiting for a long time without Lu Yiwei letting go.

Lu Yiwei hurriedly and clumsily put Mu Zhengqing down.

After returning to the ground, Mu Zhengqing looked at his clothes and asked in confusion, “Is there something wrong with my clothes?”

Just now, when Lu Yiwei asked him to change clothes, he thought there was something wrong with them.

But after looking up and down for a long time, he didn’t find anything inappropriate.

“These clothes are too short,” Lu Yiwei said, turning his gaze elsewhere, somewhat unnaturally.

When he saw Mu Zhengqing’s waist exposed while doing pull-ups in the live broadcast room, his mouth felt dry. When he held Mu Zhengqing’s waist through the towel, his tongue felt parched.

“Short?” Mu Zhengqing asked in confusion.

He had been wearing this workout outfit all day and hadn’t noticed anything short about it. It was clearly the normal length.

“Short,” Lu Yiwei affirmed.

Alright, if he says it’s short, then it’s short. It’s just changing clothes, not a big deal.

As soon as Mu Zhengqing changed into a new set of clothes and walked out of the room, Lu Yiwei, who was waiting at the door, said, “It’s still too short.”

Mu Zhengqing went back to the room again.

Fortunately, all the clothes he brought were workout outfits.

One minute later, Lu Yiwei said, “The neckline is too big.”

Another minute later, Lu Yiwei said, “It’s too see-through.”

…………

After going in and out of the room seven or eight times, Mu Zhengqing had tried on all the clothes he brought.

Hmm, every outfit was rejected by Lu Yiwei.

Actually, Mu Zhengqing understood the reason behind Lu Yiwei’s actions the first time he changed clothes.

He wasn’t keen on attracting fans with his body; his face was enough.

So he was willing to listen to Lu Yiwei and change clothes, but after changing so many outfits without satisfying Lu Yiwei, his fists clenched.

“There are many types of exercises. Do you want to try one?” Mu Zhengqing asked Lu Yiwei with his peach blossom eyes.

“What kind of exercise?” Lu Yiwei asked in confusion.

Although his favourite feature was Mu Zhengqing’s peach blossom eyes, he felt that Mu Zhengqing seemed a bit dangerous right now.

“Fighting. Want to try it?” Mu Zhengqing said, raising his fist.

The only two times he wanted to fight were because of Lu Yiwei.

When he said this, he had already thought about what the top trending topic would be.

“Mu Zhengqing and Lu Yiwei had a big fight on the show,” followed by a big “explosive” symbol.

But so what? After all, he was participating in a divorce variety show. If the two of them got along peacefully, that would be the real problem.

With the clothes fitting properly, Mu Zhengqing had no reason to skip his workout.

Just as Mu Zhengqing finished his warm-up, Lu Yiwei, who had changed into the same outfit, joined him.

Two handsome guys working out together.

Oops, two handsome guys working out together.

Sweat dripping, light panting…

Although they didn’t see the eight-pack abs, it was enough to get the netizens’ blood boiling.

At this moment, it didn’t matter whose fans they were, the screen was filled with “ah ah ah ah ah…”

Chapter 12: Turn off lights and draw curtains

Mu Zhengqing was lying on the sofa eating strawberries when he suddenly received a message from Gu Da.

The message contained only two words: “Sit properly.”

Seeing the message, Mu Zhengqing sighed and then changed from slouching on the sofa to sitting upright.

This was the main reason he didn’t want to participate in this program. No matter when, he couldn’t forget that there were cameras around. He couldn’t lie down whenever he wanted or slouch whenever he felt like it.

Although he didn’t deliberately maintain the persona of a nobleman, he also didn’t want netizens to peek into his real life.

Work and life should be kept separate.

When working, work seriously; when living, enjoy life.

“What’s wrong? Is the sofa uncomfortable?” Lu Yiwei asked with concern when he saw Mu Zhengqing's movements.

“No, the sofa is very comfortable,” Mu Zhengqing objectively evaluated.

The sofa at Lu Yiwei's home is really very comfortable. If the environment allowed, he would definitely lie on it and not get up.

His sofa is piled with stuffed toys, and he can pick up one at any time to touch, rub, and cuddle.

But the surface of Lu Yiwei 's sofa is soft and fluffy, and just touching it feels more comfortable than the stuffed toys. This is also why he likes sitting on the sofa.

Lu Yiwei  noticed that when Mu Zhengqing  answered his question, he glanced at the camera, understanding the reason for his sudden restraint.

Five minutes later, the program staff came over to tell them that because they had won first place in today’s task voting, they received an extra reward: they could turn off the live broadcast for two hours.

Upon hearing that they could turn off the live broadcast, Mu Zhengqing  was so happy that he almost jumped up.

Of course, jumping was impossible. In front of someone three years younger than himself, he still had to remain steady.

When Lu Yiwei  saw Mu Zhengqing  smiling with his eyes squinting, he also smiled with his eyes curved.

So easily happy.

After the live broadcast was turned off, Mu Zhengqing was happy, but the netizens in the live room were not pleased.

"Why didn’t you say the reward was this when we were voting? If we had known the reward was this, we wouldn’t have voted for them at all.

Watching handsome guys prolongs life and makes you smarter, okay?

Are you turning off the live broadcast? No, you are turning off the increase in the national population, the driving force for national development."

Facing the dissatisfaction of the netizens, Liang Qi had no way to explain.

According to the previous arrangement of the program team, the team that got first place in the voting did indeed have a reward, but it was not to turn off the live broadcast for two hours; it was a sumptuous breakfast tomorrow.

But the sponsor wanted to change the reward, what could he do? He could only accept it with tears.

Of course, he did resist. Otherwise, it wouldn’t just be the live broadcast being turned off, but the entire live room.

As soon as the camera was turned off, Mu Zhengqing, who had been sitting upright, immediately slumped on the sofa.

After all, living under the same roof, there was no need to pretend in front of Lu Yiwei. Otherwise, it would be too tiring.

Seeing Lu Yiwei  still sitting upright, Mu Zhengqing  mouthed, “Aren’t you tired sitting like that?”

Lu Yiwei  shook his head in confusion.

Seeing that Lu Yiwei  didn’t understand what he said, Mu Zhengqing  mouthed the words again.

Lu Yiwei  still shook his head.

Just as Mu Zhengqing picked up his phone to send a message to Lu Yiwei, Lu Yiwei, who had been sitting on the sofa next to him, moved closer and asked softly, “What did you just say?”

“I asked if you aren’t tired sitting like that?” Mu Zhengqing  put down his phone and asked softly.

“Tired, but I’m used to it,” Lu Yiwei  replied.

“Impressive,” Mu Zhengqing  gave him a thumbs up.

Lu Yiwei  was really a very disciplined guy.

“Do you want to watch a movie?” Lu Yiwei  asked softly.

Mu Zhengqing  didn’t really want to watch a movie, but he thought it would be good to have some sound in the live room, so he didn’t refuse.

Since he wasn’t really interested in watching a movie, he didn’t give any opinion when Lu Yiwei  asked for his thoughts.

At first, Mu Zhengqing  didn’t pay attention to what movie was playing, but after a while, he suddenly heard a creepy sound in his ear.

It was then that he realised Lu Yiwei  had put on a horror movie.

Mu Zhengqing  tugged on Lu Yiwei’s  clothes and whispered in his ear, “This horror movie really needs the right atmosphere. Should we turn off the lights and close the curtains?”

After hearing Mu Zhengqing’s suggestion, Lu Yiwei’s expression became a bit indescribable, and he couldn’t manage his facial expressions anymore.

However, Mu Zhengqing didn’t notice his unusual reaction.

“What’s wrong? Are you scared?” Mu Zhengqing asked uncertainly when he didn’t hear Lu Yiwei’s response.

Being afraid of ghosts but still watching a horror movie, no one would seek such thrills for themselves, right?

Lu Yiwei proved with his actions that he wasn’t scared.

He turned off the lights and closed the curtains.

Since Mu Zhengqing had watched this horror movie not long ago, he didn’t watch it with Lu Yiwei but played games instead.

To be honest, the background music of the movie strangely matched the game visuals.

After one minute, Mu Zhengqing felt someone tugging at his clothes.

He didn’t pay much attention, thinking it was Lu Yiwei moving and accidentally touching him.

After five minutes, he felt the tugging on his clothes getting stronger.

He thought for a moment, put down his phone, and leaned over to Lu Yiwei’s ear to ask, “Are you scared?”

“Not really,” Lu Yiwei answered stiffly.

Although Lu Yiwei didn’t admit he was scared this time, his expression had already betrayed him.

Mu Zhengqing thought about why Lu Yiwei was sitting so close to him after turning off the lights. It turned out he was seeking a sense of security from him.

Mu Zhengqing thoughtfully suggested, “This movie is actually pretty average. How about we watch something else?”

“Let’s finish this one. I want to know who the ghost is. If I don’t figure it out, I won’t be able to sleep tonight,” Lu Yiwei replied, tightly gripping his clothes.

Hearing Lu Yiwei’s words, four big characters appeared in Mu Zhengqing’s mind: “poor skills, big addiction.”

However, he could understand Lu Yiwei’s desire to keep watching. It was just like when he watched suspense dramas. If he didn’t find out who the culprit was, he wouldn’t be able to sleep at night either.

He hesitated a bit, wondering whether to tell Lu Yiwei that the movie never explained those strange things in the end.

Since it was a horror movie, it was normal for some things to be scientifically inexplicable.

In the end, he decided not to tell him for now.

Some things, you have to experience yourself to give up. If he told him in advance, it might backfire.

Mu Zhengqing moved closer to Lu Yiwei, letting his arm touch his.

He hoped this would give him a bit of a sense of security.

What Mu Zhengqing didn’t know was that when his arm touched Lu Yiwei, the Lu Yiwei who was originally only pretending to be stiff, actually became stiff.

Chapter 11: Reliving our first meeting

After getting the props, the two began to reenact the scene of their first meeting written by Lu Yiwei.

Scene 1: At a shopping mall opening ceremony, Mu Zhengqing was singing on stage as a guest. Lu Yiwei, who was shopping, was attracted by his singing and stood below the stage listening. The two looked at each other across the crowd.

Scene 2: In the restroom, Mu Zhengqing, who was washing his hands, looked up and saw Lu Yiwei in the mirror. Just as Mu Zhengqing was about to turn and leave, he suddenly felt unwell and vomited on Lu Yiwei.

Scene 3: In a coffee shop, Mu Zhengqing and Lu Yiwei sat on opposite sides of the sofa. Mu Zhengqing handed his newly bought clothes to Lu Yiwei. After Lu Yiwei took the clothes, they began to introduce themselves.

Thus, their first meeting ended.

During this process, Mu Zhengqing really remembered some things from the past.

He had participated in many shopping mall opening ceremonies, but the one that impressed him the most was the first time. At that time, he was singing on stage, and there were hardly any audience members listening below the stage.

In his memory, only one person listened to his song from beginning to end.

However, that person stood a bit far away, and since his eyesight was a bit nearsighted, he couldn’t clearly see the person’s appearance, only remembering that the person was very tall.

That was his first time performing on stage in his life. At that time, he only had ten yuan left, and the 300 yuan he earned from that performance helped him get through the most difficult month of his life.

Afterwards, he was discovered by a talent scout and entered the entertainment industry, beginning his idol career.

He had always been grateful for that performance. It was not a stain on his life but a turning point.

‘It turns out I can make money with my voice, and it turns out that someone would stop to listen to my singing, even if it was just that one person.’

Now, he was very grateful to his hardworking self. His efforts had allowed more people to hear his songs and see his dance. That person should have heard it too, right?

After completing the task, it was dinner time. Mu Zhengqing opened the refrigerator and found it full of food.

His hand hesitated over the meat for a second, but he ultimately chose eggs and noodles.

Hmm, egg noodles were very delicious, and he liked them a lot.

Just as he was bringing the water to a boil, Lu Yiwei walked over and asked, “Can I join you for dinner?”

“You’re going to eat this?” Mu Zhengqing asked uncertainly.

He wasn’t asking because he didn’t want Lu Yiwei to join him, but because he had noticed from previous meals that Lu Yiwei put a lot of effort into his food.

Whenever he had time, he would cook, and he didn’t mind making dishes that took a lot of time.

Of course, those dishes were all very delicious.

With just plain boiled noodles, he was afraid Lu Yiwei wouldn’t be used to it.

“Is it okay?” Lu Yiwei asked, looking at him.

Why wouldn’t it be okay? He had joined him for meals so many times before. If Lu Yiwei wanted to eat, he could cook noodles for him every day without any problem.

Since Lu Yiwei wanted to eat together, Mu Zhengqing went to the refrigerator and took out more noodles and eggs.

Then he stood about a metre away from the gas stove, throwing the noodles into the pot with one hand holding the lid and the other hand holding the noodles.

The reason his cooking skills weren’t good was that he was afraid of the water or oil splashing everywhere when it boiled.

Although it wouldn’t hurt too much if it splashed on him, the process made Mu Zhengqing very scared.

Just as he threw the noodles into the pot, Lu Yiwei appeared out of nowhere and shielded him from behind.

“What are you doing here?” Mu Zhengqing asked in confusion.

“I’ve never cooked noodles before, I want to try,” Lu Yiwei said seriously.

“Your cooking skills are so good, and you say you’ve never cooked noodles?” Mu Zhengqing clearly didn’t believe Lu Yiwei.

“Yeah, I only learned to cook dishes, never tried this,” Lu Yiwei said calmly.

“Alright then, let’s do it together,” Mu Zhengqing said, popping his head out from behind Lu Yiwei.

Although they said they would do it together, Mu Zhengqing only moved his mouth to direct Lu Yiwei, without moving his hands at all.

In the livestream, when Lu Yiwei’s fans heard him say he had never cooked noodles, more than half of them logged off. The remaining ones didn’t make any noise.

After about five minutes, Lu Yiwei’s fans started collectively sending bullet comments. It was unclear if they had coordinated, but the content was surprisingly consistent: “A man’s mouth is full of lies”(1).

“You’ve never cooked noodles before? Then who was it that cooked noodles for an unknown person’s birthday celebration on set? Do you have a twin brother or something?”

Of course, Lu Yiwei’s fans only dared to say these things in their hearts. This matter must not be known to Mu Zhengqing’s fans.

They would never admit defeat. Mu Zhengqing must love their idol more.

Since Mu Zhengqing had put too many noodles in, even after each of them had a bowl, there was still a lot left.

Mu Zhengqing, believing that food should not be wasted, planned to finish his bowl and then eat the rest from the pot, even though it might cause him to eat too much and have trouble sleeping at night.

However, before he finished his bowl, he saw Lu Yiwei taking his bowl to the kitchen.

When Lu Yiwei came back, he found Mu Zhengqing looking at him. He asked in confusion, “Are you still hungry?”

“Is there any left in the pot?” Mu Zhengqing asked, touching his stomach.

“It’s all gone. If you’re still hungry, I can share half with you,” Lu Yiwei said.

“No need, I’m full,” Mu Zhengqing replied, feeling a bit embarrassed.

He didn’t expect Lu Yiwei to have such a big appetite. Previously, when they ate together, their appetites were about the same.

After finishing his meal, Mu Zhengqing sat still, waiting for Lu Yiwei to put down his chopsticks before getting up to clear the table.

The reason he didn’t clean up before was that Lu Yiwei said a housekeeper would come to clean. But now that they were recording a show, the housekeeper couldn’t come, so they had to do the cleaning themselves.

Since Lu Yiwei cooked today, it was reasonable for Mu Zhengqing to handle the cleanup, even though he didn’t like the greasy feeling when washing dishes.

“There are strawberries in the fridge, go wash them,” Lu Yiwei said, taking the bowl from Mu Zhengqing’s hand.

“Alright, just leave it there and don’t touch it. I’ll clean up later,” Mu Zhengqing said, then went to wash the strawberries.

When he finished washing the strawberries, he found that Lu Yiwei had already cleaned up.

“Didn’t I say to leave it for me?” Mu Zhengqing said, looking at the neatly cleaned table and kitchen.

“Actually, I have OCD. Whenever I see something dirty, I want to clean it. It gives me a great sense of accomplishment,” Lu Yiwei explained, looking at Mu Zhengqing.

“Then why did you hire a housekeeper before?” Mu Zhengqing asked, puzzled.

“I was busy with work and didn’t have time. Now that I have time, I want to indulge myself. Maybe my OCD will get better someday,” Lu Yiwei said seriously, though he was clearly making it up.

“As long as you’re happy,” Mu Zhengqing replied.

Everyone has different preferences, so he didn’t comment.

However, he had heard that people with OCD can get very tired, and he was glad he didn’t have it.

In the livestream, Lu Yiwei’s fans fell silent again.

“When did you get OCD? How come I didn’t know? Could it be a new symptom?”

“It’s okay, it’s okay. As long as Lu Yiwei doesn’t mess up, we won’t lose to Mu Zhengqing’s fans.”

“Hang in there, we can win… right?” Lu Yiwei’s fans comforted themselves.
