Chapter 2

At ten o'clock in the morning, Yan Shu woke up in a daze. His throat hurt as if he had swallowed a razor blade. He decided to go to the hospital.

After lying in bed for another ten minutes, Yan Shu got up and got ready. He crouched down at the entrance, put on his shoes, and then took a mask from the medicine cabinet.

As he opened the door, his gaze was immediately drawn to a sticky note on the door.

"Hi, you didn't contact me yesterday. I'm wondering how you're feeling today. If you're still feeling unwell, I can go to the hospital with you. Don't worry about troubling me."

Yan Shu was stunned for a moment, then he reacted. He tore off the sticky note and went back into the room. He took out a black marker and wrote a line at the bottom of the sticky note. Then, he returned and stuck it on the opposite door.

With that done, Yan Shu clapped his hands and strode into the elevator.

At eleven o'clock, Xu Chi returned home. At first, he didn't notice anything, but when he took out his keys to open the door, he looked up and saw something stuck on his door.

His hand froze mid-way through turning the doorknob. His gaze then fell upon the unfamiliar handwriting behind the door. He couldn't help but smile, and his heart, which had been hanging, settled.

Xu Chi recognized the handwriting as Yan Shu's. He had seen it many times before. The characters were fresh, elegant, and as beautiful as the person who wrote them.

"Thank you for your concern. I'm feeling much better now, but I should still go to the hospital to recover faster. I'll treat you to a meal when I'm better."

Xu Chi carefully peeled off the sticky note, gently rubbing his fingertip over the words as if there was still a hint of warmth left on the paper.

He held the sticky note in the palm of his left hand and reached out to turn the key again to open the door.

Only a few minutes later, Xu Chi came out of the room with his car keys and stepped into the elevator.

Xu Chi drove to the nearest hospital, hoping it was not too late.

Xu Chi sat in his car, casually resting his arm on the steering wheel. He wasn't sure if Yan Shu had left yet, but he waited for a while just in case.

As he watched, he was still pondering how to start a conversation with Yan Shu in a way that would make him remember both the conversation and Xu Chi's name. Then, the figure he had been thinking about appeared in his line of sight and grew closer.

Xu Chi's heart raced. All the thoughts in his head vanished instantly, and his mouth opened, but he couldn't remember what to say.

Finally, he managed to suppress his inner turmoil. He lowered his car window, leaned out, and gave Yan Shu a smile.

"What a coincidence," he said.

As soon as the words left his mouth, Xu Chi regretted it. Was that opening line too ordinary?

Yan Shu had finished his IV drip and was carrying a bag of medication. His complexion had improved slightly. As he walked out of the hospital, he intended to head towards the bus stop. However, a few steps later, he was stopped by an unfamiliar but gentle voice.

Yan Shu turned his head slightly and met a pair of eyes filled with tenderness. He froze in place, his mind a little dazed.

Recognizing the person, he came back to his senses and replied, "Yeah, what a coincidence. What are you doing here?"

His voice was still hoarse, but not as bad as yesterday.

"Just passing by," Xu Chi replied, his ears turning red from their earlier eye contact. His gaze wavered for a moment before he looked at Yan Shu steadily. "Are you feeling better? What did the doctor say?"

Yan Shu could tell from his tone that Xu Chi wasn't just being polite. He forced a smile and replied, "I'm fine now. I should be completely recovered after another day of rest."

"That's good to hear," Xu Chi said, as if relieved. He subtly averted his gaze from the small needle mark on the back of Yan Shu's hand.

Pausing for a moment, he wiped the sweat from his palms and said, "I'll give you a ride home."

Yan Shu instinctively declined. "Ah? No need to trouble yourself."

Xu Chi quickly replied, "It's no trouble at all. It's on my way, isn't it?"

Saying that, he got out of the car, walked around to the other side, and opened the passenger door.

Yan Shu wasn't one to be coy, so he replied, "Thank you then."

Xu Chi closed the door and curled the corner of his lips in a way that Yan Shu couldn't see.

Xu Chi was feeling very happy but also quite nervous. He got into the car and stole a glance at Yan Shu. Then, almost unconsciously, he leaned forward and reached out towards him.

His hot breath fell on Yan Shu's neck, causing him to shiver and lean towards the car door.

Noticing Yan Shu's reaction, Xu Chi paused his hand mid-air. After a few seconds, he lowered his hand, his ears turning red as he explained, "I just wanted to help you fasten your seatbelt."

"Oh," Yan Shu replied.

Yan Shu felt his body heating up again. He wondered if he was coming down with a fever again.

Yan Shu fastened his seatbelt, pursed his lips, turned to look at Xu Chi and asked, "Can I open the window? It's a bit stuffy."

Xu Chi sat up straight, nodded dumbly, "You can."

Xu Chi lowered the car window. The wind outside carried a slight chill, the dark clouds were gloomy, and rain could fall at any time. Worried that Yan Shu would catch a cold, he only opened it a little.

Fresh air poured in, dispelling the inexplicable heat in the car, and Yan Shu's mind cleared up immediately.

The vehicle started, and Yan Shu turned his head to look out of the window. The hustle and bustle of the street rushed past him.

Xu Chi focused on driving, glancing sideways from time to time. He disguised it well, and Yan Shu thought he was looking at the rearview mirror.

Xu Chi felt that time always passed quickly when he was with Yan Shu.

Before long, Yan Shu stood in front of the door. The motion sensor light in the corridor quietly shone on Xu Chi, making his already gentle eyebrows and eyes even more charming.

Yan Shu looked up at Xu Chi and thanked him again, "Thank you for giving me a ride home today. I'll treat you to dinner sometime."

Xu Chi lowered his eyes, his emotions flickering in his eyes. He curled his fingers and rubbed his palms repeatedly, softly saying, "You're welcome. Take care of yourself and get plenty of rest."

"Mm."

Xu Chi raised his head and stood there staring at the closed door. Remembering that he hadn't told him his name yet, a sense of indescribable loss and frustration suddenly appeared in his eyes.

He must speak up next time.

Chapter 1

Mamihlapinatapai: A look shared by two people, each wishing that the other would initiate something that they both desire but are unwilling to start.

The sky was gloomy and overcast. They say spring rain is gentle, but the incessant drizzle of recent days inevitably made people feel gloomy and listless, unable to muster any enthusiasm for anything.

A minute before the bell rang to signal the end of class, a wave of restlessness swept through the classroom.

Hearing the subtle commotion below, Yan Shu paused mid-action as he reached for the chalk. He put it back, patted the dust off his hands, and flipped through his textbook casually, waiting for the bell to ring.

"Class dismissed."

Having taught two consecutive maths classes, both the teacher and the students were somewhat fatigued. After class, there was no expected uproar. When he looked up, he saw that more than half of the students had their heads down on their desks.

Having spoken for too long, Yan Shu's already hoarse voice from his cold seemed to worsen. He took a few sips of hot water from his thermos to soothe his throat, then casually picked up his textbook and walked out of the classroom.

The teachers’ office was at the end of the corridor on this floor. The office, occupied by four teachers, was busier than the classrooms. A few students were hunched over, working on their problems, while others were standing with their heads down, receiving criticism. Yan Shu’s throat ached terribly, and after sitting for a while, he decided to pack up and go home.

He had only taken a few steps when the door of the neighbouring office opened. Song Yu came out and looked Yan Shu up and down. “Wait for me, let’s go together,” he said.

After saying that, he turned back into the office, and Yan Shu waited for a while.

When they reached the school gate, the rain had stopped. A fresh scent filled the air, and the fallen leaves, soaked by the rain, covered the sidewalk, making a rustling sound when stepped on.

As they passed the gym, Song Yu began to nag Yan Shu incessantly about exercising more.

Yan Shu half-listened, half-ignored him. He hated exercising the most. The only way he would exercise voluntarily was if the sun started rising in the west.

Yan Shu wouldn't have known about the new gym if Song Yu hadn't mentioned it.

Though he wasn't interested, many others were. It was conveniently located, well-equipped, and had professional trainers. Many teachers from their school had purchased memberships and would stop by for a workout after work.

Yan Shu deliberately quickened his pace, afraid that Song Yu would drag him in if he was even a second slower.

Song Yu caught up with him, glanced at his pale face, and earnestly advised, "I mean, how many times have you caught a cold this month? You really need to improve your health."

Song Yu had been nagging Yan Shu about this since college, and Yan Shu was used to it. Whenever Song Yu brought it up, Yan Shu would come up with an excuse, whether it was being too busy with studies, the gym being too far away, or now, being too busy with work. He always had a variety of excuses.

Yan Shu tried to retort, "This cold was an accident."

Song Yu rolled his eyes mercilessly. “When was the last time you didn’t say it was an accident? And besides, who would want to get sick?”

“……”

He had a point, but there was no way he was going to exercise.

Yan Shu feigned discomfort, his voice hoarse. “I’m not going to talk anymore. My head is a bit dizzy. I’m going home to rest.”

It was only a few minutes' walk from the school to his residence. As they chatted, Yan Shu arrived home.

Seeing Yan Shu's condition, Song Yu didn't say anything more and let him off the hook for now. Finally, he reminded him, “It's the weekend tomorrow. If you're still not feeling well, go see a doctor.”

“I know,” Yan Shu replied without turning around.

Song Yu watched him walk into the residential complex and then continued on his own. His home was a street away from Yan Shu's.

Some things were better left unsaid. After returning home, Yan Shu felt his head really was starting to ache, so he casually flopped onto the sofa and quickly fell asleep.

The curtains were drawn, and the room was dark and silent.

After an unknown amount of time, Yan Shu woke up, startled by a chaotic noise.

Rubbing his temples, Yan Shu sat up irritably, feeling unwell. As his consciousness gradually cleared, the noise grew louder. It seemed to be coming from the next door.

The noise stopped for a moment, and Yan Shu put a pillow under his head and tossed and turned. Just as he was about to close his eyes, the annoying noise started again.

Yan Shu got up, put on his slippers, and opened the door, enduring his headache. He wanted to see what was going on next door.

As soon as he opened the door, the cacophony was especially sharp and piercing, and Yan Shu immediately frowned.

The door opposite was wide open, and there were miscellaneous items scattered in the hallway. Yan Shu looked up into the room and guessed they were doing some renovations.

Yan Shu liked peace and quiet. The apartment building he rented had only two units on each floor, and his neighbour had moved out two or three months ago. He had only heard recently that someone was moving in.

He suddenly remembered the note he had seen on the door when he returned home yesterday.

“Hello, I’m your new neighbour. I need to do some simple renovations to the room tomorrow during the day, and I may disturb you. I apologise in advance, and please don’t refuse my compensation later.”

The handwriting was neat and tidy, each character as if carefully outlined. It looked very pleasing.

As the saying goes, handwriting reveals one's character. Yan Shu imagined that the person who wrote this note must be polite, clean, gentle, and calm.

Sure enough, sick people can't control their emotions. Yan Shu realised that his anger was a bit unreasonable.

Just as he was about to look away, a tall figure suddenly caught his eye.

Their gazes locked, and in that instant, time seemed to slow down, and all noise ceased.

The man standing before him was tall, with nearly perfect proportions. His facial features were sharp, his eyebrows exuded a heroic spirit, and he appeared both steady and reliable. Those clear, dark eyes were fixed on him.

Yan Shu suddenly felt a warmth in his body. Only then did he realise he had a fever.

Xu Chi stared at Yan Shu without moving, his heart pounding faster and faster. His breath quickened.

Uncontrollably, he took a few steps forward, colliding with the dish rack. The stack of newly purchased bowls came crashing down to the floor.

The sharp sound of breaking porcelain was deafening, shattering the stillness between them.

Xu Chi stood up, averted his gaze, and looked at the broken bowls on the floor.

His head was lowered, and his long eyelashes cast a shadow on his face, revealing no emotion.

Yan Shu originally wanted to ask if he was okay, but when he tried to speak, he found his voice was small and hoarse, and he couldn't make himself heard. So he simply closed his mouth.

Xu Chi was stunned for a moment, then walked around the mess and stood in front of Yan Shu.

He rubbed his palms together and nervously asked, "Your face looks a bit pale. Are you feeling unwell?"

Yan Shu felt a little dizzy and lightheaded, and his thoughts were racing. Leaning against the door, he nodded.

Xu Chi raised his hand and then lowered it, repeatedly.

Yan Shu frowned and looked at him with confusion.

Xu Chi took a deep breath and placed his palm on Yan Shu's forehead.

The cool sensation made Yan Shu's body stiffen.

After feeling the temperature of his forehead, Xu Chi dropped his hand to his side and said solemnly, "You have a fever."

Yan Shu nodded blankly.

Xu Chi nervously twisted his fingers, hesitated for a moment, then mustered up the courage to help Yan Shu into the room and lay him down on the sofa.

Xu Chi squatted down beside Yan Shu and asked softly, "Do you have any medicine at home?"

Yan Shu finally understood this sentence, but he couldn't speak, so he raised his finger and pointed in a direction.

Xu Chi followed the direction of his finger and saw a white medicine cabinet on the shoe rack by the door.

It was in such an obvious place, but Xu Chi hadn't noticed it in his haste.

He quickly stood up, walked to the door, found a packet of cold medicine, and then turned around and went into the kitchen.

After Xu Chi helped Yan Shu finish his medicine, he waited until Yan Shu fell asleep before quietly closing the door and leaving.

The clock on the wall ticked twice. Yan Shu woke up and glanced to the side to see another blue sticky note on the coffee table.

"There's some porridge I cooked in the kitchen. Remember to drink some when you wake up. You can call me directly if you need anything (phone number on the back). I'll answer anytime. Good night."

The handwriting was the same, it was from that person.

Yan Shu picked up the sticky note and flipped it over. There was a string of numbers on the back. Recalling what happened before he fell asleep, he couldn't help but think, ‘What kind of fairy neighbour is this?’

Chapter 23: Why don't you sleep on the bed?

Mu Zhengqing was very confident about who Mulu would choose. Otherwise, he wouldn't have agreed to do this.

Mulu clearly felt closer to him as a father and would definitely choose him. However, the result was not as he wished. Without hesitation, Mulu walked towards Lu Yiwei.

Mulu walked up to Lu Yiwei, meowed arrogantly, and then placed itself in his hands. It was almost as if it was saying, "Hurry up and serve me."

So easily bought over? Mu Zhengqing suddenly felt a sense of crisis. After the variety show was finished, Mulu wouldn't just leave with him. His only shared asset with Lu Yiwei was Mulu. If Mulu chose to stay with Lu Yiwei, he really had no other choice.

No, he had to win back Mulu's heart. Wasn't it just a massage? He would start learning tonight and had to surpass Lu Yiwei before the end of the variety show.

Although Mulu had chosen Lu Yiwei, Mu Zhengqing, while a bit sad, decided to accept the result. He walked towards the bedroom alone.

However, as soon as he put his hand on the doorknob, Mulu started to meow behind him. Not only did it meow, but it also ran towards him.

Mu Zhengqing quickly squatted down and hugged it. His sadness immediately vanished, replaced by a feeling of warmth. Mulu loved him the most after all!

Although it had chosen Lu Yiwei for pleasure just a moment ago, it still ran towards him without hesitation at the critical moment. However, his feeling of warmth didn't last long.

After several tests, they discovered that Mulu simply wanted them both to stay with it. If he left, it would meow; if Lu Yiwei left, it would still meow.

"What should we do? Should we just make do in the living room for one night?" Mu Zhengqing asked Lu Yiwei helplessly.

"Let's go to your room. This sofa is uncomfortable to sleep on," Lu Yiwei said, looking at the living room sofa with some disdain.

After settling Mulu in the bedroom, Mu Zhengqing glanced at his phone. It was almost midnight. No wonder he was so sleepy. He hadn't stayed up this late since his vacation.

Looking at Lu Yiwei, who was right beside him, Mu Zhengqing thought for a moment and said, "Why don't you sleep on the bed too?"

"It's okay, I'll sleep on the sofa. It's late, you should go to sleep," Lu Yiwei said, looking at the listless Mu Zhengqing.

Sleeping in the same bed, and it was Mu Zhengqing who invited him!

Normally, he wouldn't refuse such a rare opportunity, even though if they really slept in the same bed, they would only be sleeping. But he was afraid that if he was there, Mu Zhengqing wouldn't sleep well, so he refused.

"Don't argue with me. That's settled," Mu Zhengqing directly pushed Lu Yiwei to one side of the bed, not allowing any refusal.

Seeing Mu Zhengqing walk to the other side and lie down, Lu Yiwei hesitated for a moment, then also lay down on the bed.

The bed in the bedroom was very large, and there was enough space between the two of them for two more people.

But after lying in bed for a long time, not only did Mu Zhengqing show no signs of sleep, but his mind became clearer and clearer. The reason he couldn't sleep wasn't because there was another person next to him, but because his legs and arms started to ache after relaxing.

In order not to disturb Lu Yiwei's sleep, he moved his legs and arms slightly, hoping to relieve some of the pain. However, he had only moved a few times when Lu Yiwei got up and said to him, "Are you uncomfortable? Let me give you a massage."

"No, you go to sleep," Mu Zhengqing refused.

Although he missed Lu Yiwei's massage very much and knew that if he let Lu Yiwei massage him for a while, he would definitely be able to sleep comfortably. But it was the middle of the night, how could he be so embarrassed.

"Don't argue with me, that's settled," Lu Yiwei said directly, turning on the light.

Just when Mu Zhengqing felt that this sentence sounded familiar, Lu Yiwei had already started to massage him.

"Then you massage me first, and I'll massage you later," Mu Zhengqing said before falling asleep.

The next morning, his memory of the previous night ended with him saying he would massage Lu Yiwei later.

He had no idea when he fell asleep.

He didn't know how long Lu Yiwei had massaged him.

He looked to the side and Lu Yiwei was no longer there.

Just as he was about to get up, he felt something heavy on him. Upon seeing Mulu, his eyes lit up.

Five minutes later, after playing with his cat, Mu Zhengqing opened the bedroom door feeling refreshed.

The smile on his face disappeared when he saw the people in the living room. Why were the production crew here so early today?

He slowly picked up his phone and almost fainted when he saw it was 9:10. How could it already be past nine?

If he remembered correctly, if he stayed in the bedroom for more than ten minutes after eight in the morning, the production crew would install a camera in his bedroom.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" Mu Zhengqing asked Lu Yiwei softly, walking over to him.

"I didn't pay attention to the time," Lu Yiwei moved over a bit, making room for Mu Zhengqing to sit down.

He had actually called Mu Zhengqing to wake up, but Mu Zhengqing had mumbled softly for him not to disturb his sleep, so he didn't continue calling.

Don't even mention just not getting up, at that time, even if Mu Zhengqing wanted the stars in the sky, he would find a way to get them for him.

"What should we do now? Aren't the production crew really going to install a camera in my bedroom?" Mu Zhengqing continued to ask.

He didn't dwell on the fact that Lu Yiwei hadn't paid attention to the time. After all, he was the one who overslept, and the main responsibility was on him, not Lu Yiwei.

"There's good news and bad news, which do you want to hear first?" Lu Yiwei asked.

"The bad news," Mu Zhengqing said.

“The bad news is that these people were arranged by Liang Qi to install the cameras,” Lu Yiwei said.

Mu Zhengqing looked at the production crew. No wonder he looked so familiar, they were the same people who came to install the cameras last time.

After hearing the bad news, he no longer wanted to hear the good news. There was no good news for him now.

“But we can choose which room to install the camera in,” seeing Mu Zhengqing looking downcast, Lu Yiwei couldn't bear to see him upset, so he told him the good news directly.

“What do you mean?” Mu Zhengqing asked, raising his head abruptly when he heard this. Could there be a turnaround? Could they avoid installing a camera in the bedroom?

There was indeed a turnaround, but it was impossible not to install a camera in the bedroom.

After confirming that Mu Zhengqing hadn't gotten up by 8:10, Lu Yiwei took Liangqi off his blacklist. He sent a message asking him to think of other ways to replace the camera. Who would have thought Liang Qi would stubbornly refuse, and even came up with a bunch of excuses to put him off.

After listening to Lu Yiwei's explanation, Mu Zhengqing's newly kindled hope was extinguished again.

Chapter 22: Liang Qi is cheap

At 10:30 PM, Mu Zhengqing filled the bathtub and carried the cat, Mulu, over. Mulu, who had been docile in his arms, started struggling wildly as soon as he saw the water.

Mu Zhengqing accidentally let Mulu slip out of his grasp.

Then, Mu Zhengqing and Lu Yiwei began a house-wide cat chase.

"Mulu, good boy, come here," they called.

"Mulu, come to daddy," they pleaded.

...

It wasn't until the viewers in the live stream had watched half an hour of the cat-chasing spectacle that Lu Yiwei finally caught the darting Mulu.

"Ah, this is the trouble with having a big house," Mu Zhengqing sighed, panting as he flopped onto the couch.

This half hour was more tiring than two hours of his usual exercise. His hands and legs now feel like they're filled with lead. He can barely move them. In contrast, Lu Yiwei, apart from being a little sweaty, his hands that were petting the cat were completely unaffected. Ah, he also really wants to enjoy the massage from those hands.

"You rest for a bit, I'll take it to bathe," Lu Yiwei said, holding Mulu.

"Let's go together.” Mu Zhengqing was afraid that Mulu would see the water and run around again, so he followed into the bathroom.

Seeing Mu Zhengqing follow in, Lu Yiwei didn't say anything, but just went out and got a stool for him.

Mulu, whether it was because it was tired from running or because it knew it had to take a bath today, didn't resist as much as before.

However, it's unclear if it was in retaliation for Mu Zhengqing and Lu Yiwei chasing it around earlier, but as soon as it got wet, it started shaking its fur non-stop.

Mu Zhengqing and Lu Yiwei were both soaked by the cat in the bathroom.

To divert the cat's attention, Mu Zhengqing had to distract it with a toy while Lu Yiwei took advantage of the opportunity to give it a bath. While playing with the cat, Mu Zhengqing kept glancing at Lu Yiwei.

Initially, he was observing how Lu Yiwei bathed the cat. After all, once the variety show finished recording, he would be returning to his own home, and he would have to bathe the cat alone then. However, his attention quickly shifted from the cat to Lu Yiwei.

Due to the water, Lu Yiwei's styled bangs fell down. He instantly transformed from President Lu to Senior Lu.

He remembered something Gu Da had said before: if he divorced Lu Yiwei, it would be very difficult to find someone like him again.

After spending these few days with Lu Yiwei, Mu Zhengqing just wanted to say that it was more than just difficult.

There are many handsome people, many rich people, many morally upright people, many good cooks, many people who know how to massage, many people who love animals, and many people who take the initiative to do housework...

Although there are many people who possess each of these qualities individually, it's incredibly rare to find someone who has them all combined.

I wonder who will be lucky enough to end up with such a great guy like Lu Yiwei. Oh, it might very well be Liang Qi. As they say, life is fair. If one door closes, another opens somewhere else.

"What's wrong? Is there something on my face?" Lu Yiwei asked, somewhat puzzled as he noticed Mu Zhengqing staring at his face.

"No, no, are you done?" Mu Zhengqing looked away, feeling embarrassed. It was so embarrassing. It was the first time he had been so dumbfounded while looking at someone.

"I'm done. You're all wet, go take a shower. I'll take Mulu to the dryer," Lu Yiwei said as he picked up the soaking wet cat.

Hmm, Mu Zhengqing had only been looking at Lu Yiwei's face, but he just realised that Lu Yiwei's body was incredibly good. Although he himself had broad shoulders and a narrow waist, compared to Lu Yiwei, he fell a little short.

"Lu Yiwei is even more suited to the phrase 'slender in clothes, muscular when undressed'."

Having admired Lu Yiwei's physique, Mu Zhengqing had just stood up when a bathrobe appeared in front of him.

Before Lu Yiwei could speak, Mu Zhengqing said first, "I know, it's new, you haven't worn it." Having heard it so many times, he could answer before being asked.

After putting on the bathrobe, Mu Zhengqing said to Lu Yiwei, "Give me the cat."

Mu Zhengqing intended to hold Mulu while helping Lu Yiwei put on the bathrobe. Although both of them were fully clothed, their clothes were wet and clinging to their bodies, making them seem more revealing than being naked.

Fortunately, Lu Yiwei reminded him that if he went out like this, it was questionable whether the livestream could be kept going.

"No need," Lu Yiwei said.

Mu Zhengqing thought that Lu Yiwei didn't want to give him Mulu because he didn't intend to wear the bathrobe.

Although he felt that this was not quite right, such a good figure should indeed be shown to the vast number of netizens, so he didn't say anything more.

Especially when he thought about how Liang Qi must be watching their livestream at all times, he wondered if perhaps Lu Yiwei was deliberately trying to show off for a specific person.

However, Mu Zhengqing quickly realised he was overthinking things. The reason Lu Yiwei didn't give him Mulu was that he could easily put on the bathrobe with just one hand.

After leaving the bathroom, Mu Zhengqing went back to the bedroom to shower while Lu Yiwei took Mulu to dry it.

Because he was worried about Lu Yiwei being uncomfortable in wet clothes, Mu Zhengqing rushed out without even drying his hair.

"Dry your hair before coming out," Lu Yiwei frowned as he saw Mu Zhengqing with wet hair.

Although the air conditioner was on, he was worried that Mu Zhengqing would catch a cold after getting his clothes wet and then not drying his hair.

"No need, you go take a shower quickly. I'll watch Mulu dry," Mu Zhengqing said as he walked over to Lu Yiwei.

"Sit down and don't move," Lu Yiwei instructed Mu Zhengqing before returning to the bedroom.

Mu Zhengqing thought that Lu Yiwei had gone back to take a shower, but to his surprise, he returned less than a minute later, holding a hairdryer.

"I'll do it myself," Mu Zhengqing quickly said when he saw that Lu Yiwei was going to dry his hair for him.

"Don't move, I just want to compare which is faster, the dryer or the hair dryer," Lu Yiwei said, pressing down on Mu Zhengqing's head.

Since Lu Yiwei said so, Mu Zhengqing could only sit obediently and let Lu Yiwei dry his hair for him.

No, it was more like using him to test the hairdryer's effectiveness.

Mu Zhengqing and Lu Yiwei fans: We know you both love the "Mulu" so much, and while practice is the only way to test the truth, the hairdryer is no match for the dryer, okay? If you really don't know which one is better, you can search online.

Lu Yiwei: You guys aren't shipping this heartwarming scene, you're as bad as the paparazzi.

After everything was tidied up, Mu Zhengqing and Lu Yiwei encountered a new problem when it was time to sleep. Mulu was too clingy. As soon as it couldn't see them, it started making a fuss.

"The 'Mulu' can sleep with me tonight." Mu Zhengqing held the seemingly insecure Mulu with a heartbroken expression. "If it weren't for the cameras and Lu Yiwei, I would have taken Mulu back to the bedroom to sleep a long time ago," he said.

It really was his treasure, giving him a legitimate reason to take it back to the bedroom. He had been wanting to bury his head in the freshly washed Mulu for a long time, but he just hadn't found the opportunity.

Just as he picked up Mulu, Lu Yiwei appeared like a spoilsport.

"Let Mulu sleep with me first tonight," Lu Yiwei said, sounding a little worried.

The reason he wanted Mulu to sleep with him wasn't because he was jealous, but because he was worried that Mulu would disturb Mu Zhengqing's sleep at night.

The two of them argued for a long time about who Mulu would sleep with tonight, and finally, they decided to let 'Mulu' choose.
